Attorney Joe Good is the first lawyer in South Carolina to achieve the American Chemical Society Lawyer-Scientist designation. Focusing on cases involving blood draws where the state is investigating a blood alcohol concentration, Joe Good has been trained in the machines and equipment used to measure blood alcohol.  Joe Good has tons of trial experience under his belt as he handled hundreds of DUI cases for over 15 years for clients throughout South Carolina. Attorney Joe Good graduated from the University of South Carolina and Western Michigan University Law School. During law school, he clerked for the Honorable Paul E. Short, Jr. in the South Carolina Court of Appeals in addition to working as a law clerk at Ellis Lawhorne & Sims, in Columbia, South Carolina. Joe Good is a graduate of the National Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia School of Law, and a 2008 graduate of the Mount Pleasant Citizens Police Academy. He attended a trial academy put on by the National College for DUI Defense at Harvard Law School. Mr. Good is a proud member of both the National College for DUI Defense and the DUI Defense Lawyers Association and is a past board member of the SC Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. In October of 2022, Joe Good became the first lawyer in the state of South Carolina to achieve the American Chemical Society’s Lawyer-Scientist designation having trained for over 160 hours at the world-renowned Axion Labs in Chicago, Illinois. He is licensed in all South Carolina State Courts, as well as the United States Federal Court for the District of South Carolina and the United States Supreme Court.
